About Claire
Hi! I am Claire!
Welcome to ClaireWithLove.
I created this website to help you have more happiness, success, and good times in less time and with less stress and struggle by sharing the lessons and experiences from my life – career/professional and personal development, travel and cruising blog reviews and tips (aka luxury traveling on a budget), and products that have made my life easier.
Growing up in an Air Force family, I started traveling the world before I could talk and have enjoyed seeing more of the world ever since. Places include the United States, Europe, China, Iran, and the Caribbean. I spend days researching places and restaurants before we go on a vacation and want to share what I have learned to help you save time and have a great experience whether it is restaurants, things to see, and hotels. We also our avid cruisers (Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess) and can’t wait to go again. I have been married for over 25 years with no kids, so my travel articles are more suitable for couples and singles, rather than families.
Since April 2020, I am a COVID-19 survivor and COVID-19 Long Hauler. I lost my mother to COVID-19. I will share experiences with COVID-19 and my notes on safety protocols and observations for trips or restaurants taken after the start of the pandemic. Follow my Facebook page for COVID-19 news, experiences participating in a National Institutes of Health (NIH) three year study on the long term effects of COVID-19, and positive posts.
This website is my way of paying forward what I have learned and providing inspiration to you on life’s journey. Please sign up for my newsletter to keep informed when I add new articles.

In 1998 to help my mother after a bad car accident left her in chronic pain, I became interested in Reiki energy healing as a way to be able to help the body heal more quickly at a cellular level. I became a Reiki Master Teacher and Certified Healing Touch Practitioner (CHTP). I have been a reiki practitioner for over 20 years. As a Reiki Master Teacher, I enjoy sharing from my knowledge and empowering my students in their own ability to help themselves or help others to self-heal more quickly and to reduce stress. I currently offer virtual healing appointments and virtual Reiki classes.
Growing up in a military environment, I wanted to find a way to use my energy healing skills to help the wounded soldiers returning from wars with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)and other injuries since reiki and healing touch helps assist physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing. I met a soldier wounded by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast, and we had weekly reiki sessions for about 1.5 years until he was medically discharged from Walter Reed.
About that time, I found Comfort for America’s Uniformed Services (Cause) non-profit who provides recreation, relaxation, and resiliency programs for the injured soldiers and their caregivers where I became the first reiki volunteer at Walter Reed and helped them develop the reiki program as part of their Massage, Reiki, Reflexology (MRR) program. I have been providing reiki session at Walter Reed and Ft. Belvoir for wounded soldiers and their caregivers for 12 years now.
