My name is Claire. This blog is for couples or singles to help them in researching and planning for a cruise or luxury vacations on a budget. It will give you what I loved and didn’t love and great tips to save time. When we plan a trip, I spend hours and hours researching things. Since I have spent a lot of time on TripAdvisor, I also feel I should give back and as a TripAdvisor reviewer, I have written over 300 reviews with over 370 helpful votes and 270,000 readers. My husband, Doug, and I have been on nearly 20 cruises on Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess, and Carnival cruise lines in the Caribbean. I have traveling since I was a child, living in the United States, Iran, and Germany with my parents who were in the military. Doug and I love to see the world, so I will be sharing our travel tips with you – things to do, where we stayed, and importantly, where to eat. Doug is an avid backpacker who has done 100 mile hikes several times in Olympic National Park. Although my idea of roughing it is a Comfort Inn (with no hair conditioner) and guess whose idea it was to go on cruises, I will be joining him camping or staying in a hopefully not too rustic hotel or Airbnb.
For 30 years, I have worked as an engineer at IBM, Loral, and Lockheed Martin and been an award winning Toastmaster International speaker and club member for over 10 years. I will create articles to help you create more happiness and success in your professional career.
For 26 years, I have been practicing Reiki (pronounced “ray” “key”) energy healing, as an Usui Reiki Master Teacher, and for over 12 years providing reiki for wounded military soldiers and their caregivers. I am a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner (HTCP) and one of the subject matter experts who designed the certification test. I am also an Advanced Bioenergy Practitioner and Advanced Theta Healing Practitioner, and more. The energy healing has opened a door which has deepened my relationship with God and made me more aware of my spiritual path (we all have one). In the hundreds of hours of classes and books I have read and based on my experiences working with clients and on myself, I will help crack open the door for you as well so you can learn more about your purpose in life and living your full spiritual and human potential.
