Celebrity Main Dining Room Menu for a 7 Day Cruise

Why It is Helpful to Know the Menu in Advance

Part of the fun and a daily activity can be heading to the restaurant to see the dinner menu. If you like to do that, please do not keep reading since it will spoil your fun. As experienced cruisers who do not want to miss a good dinner but also may want to go to a specialty restaurant (extra charge for dining), it is helpful to know the menu a day or weeks in advance so you can choose when the main dining room menu looks less interesting to you and when to book a specialty restaurant.

You may want to make a reservation before you board before your preferred dining times get filled or want to ensure you can go to the restaurant before the reservations get filled. It is also helpful to know the main dining room menu when planning your shore excursions or sea days to determine if you want to skip the dining room and book a specialty restaurant since they are usually open half an hour later, 9:30 pm.

Once you are aboard and when you use the Celebrity app (download on your phone), you can see the actual menu for each day for all the restaurants and use information that to make any specialty dining reservations.

What You Need to Know About Celebrity Dining Menus

The main dining room menu is standard across most Celebrity ships depending on the number of days in the cruise. The dinner menus below was from the Celebrity Reflection Main dining room room or the Opus dining room on April 2022. The Celebrity Eclipse, Equinox, Silhouette, Solstice, etc. dining room menus will be the same irrespective of where they are sailing (Caribbean, Alaska, Europe, South America). The menus for a particular sailing may occur on different days. For example, day 1 was the menu for Celebrity Reflection, a March – April sailing but the same menu occurred on day 6 for Celebrity Solstice in May. The Solstice day 1 menu was the same as the day 7 Reflection menu.

For the main dining room dinner menus below, the “Timeless Appetizers” and “Timeless Entrees” are the same every night of the cruise and are offered each evening. For Celebrity Edge and Apex ships, they are called “Classic Appetizers” and “Classic Entrees.”

Celebrity Main Dining Room Timeless Appetizers Menu

For Celebrity Edge and Apex ships, the dinner menu has a section called “Celebrity Signatures” which change every night but are offered at each of the main dining room restaurants. The menus shown below are “Celebrity Signatures.”

The third section of the Celebrity Edge and Apex is the “Exclusive” menu section associated with the regional specialties offered at each of themed main dining rooms: Cosmopolitan, Tuscan, Normandie, and Cyprus. They stay the same for the entire voyage and do not change. I have heard, but not verified, that you can order the dishes at other restaurants. I think this could be true if the main dining restaurant is on the same floor. For example, on Celebrity Edge, Cosmopolitan and Cyprus are on deck 4 and likely share the same kitchen. Normandie and Tuscan are on deck 3.

Now, on to the main dining room menus! The children’s menus are not included below but are offered on the actual main dining room menu. The bolded items are dished I really enjoyed.

Day 1 Main Dining Room Menu

Day 1 Appetizers

  • Crispy Thai Beef Spring Roll – sweet and sour chili sauce, ginger-noodle salad
  • Belgian Endive-Arugula Salad – green apples white balsamic, candied pecans
  • Roasted Carrot-Cumin Salad – with avocado, sunflower seeds, arugula, lemon yogurt vinaigrette
  • Organic Roasted Red Beets – topped with feta cheese and sherry vinaigrette, served with teardrop tomatoes and arugula
  • Cream of Wild Forest Mushroom Soup – mushrooms, truffle fricassee
  • Chilled Thai Coconut Soup – lemon grass, ginger, cilantro (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Chilled Shrimp Louis – Cognac cocktail sauce, guacamole (not on Edge/Apex)

Timeless Appetizers (same for each Day)

  • Classic “Caesar” Salad – hearts of romaine, garlic croutons, Parmesan cheese
  • Chilled Shrimp Cocktail – classic cocktail sauce
  • Baked French Onion Soup – herb croutons, melted Gruyere chese
  • Escargots a la Bourguignonne -snails, shallots, garlic, parslet, pernod butter

Day 1 Entrees

  • Seared Salmon – crushed potatoes, grilled squashes, sauce vierge
  • Oven-Roasted Jerk Spiced Chicken – black bean and pineapple rice, buttered green beans, chicken jus
  • Beef & Veal Spaghetti Bolognese – herbs, shaved Parmesan cheese (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Homestyle Pork Chop – marshmallow sweet potatoes, sautéed string beans, zesty cider-raisin sauce
  • Aged Prime Rib of Beef – mashed potatoes, baby carrots, green beans, pan gravy
  • Spinach & Ricotta ravioli – marinara, vegetarian Parmesan cheese, basil cream sauce

Timeless Entrees (same for each Day)

  • Broiled Salmon – served plain or with classic hollandaise sauce, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables
  • Grilled Chicken Breast – garden thyme jus, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables
  • Grilled New York Sirloin Steak – beurre Maitre d’Hotel, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables

  • Sesame-Crusted Tuna Carpaccio – seaweed salad, picked shitake mushrooms, ginger dressing
  • Scallop Crudo – avocado, jalapeno, yuzi soy vinaigrette (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Barolo-Braised Beef Ragout – sautéed sage gnocchi, roasted shallots
  • Waldorf Chicken Salad – chicory, grapes. celery, toasted walnuts, curry vinaigrette
  • Garden Fresh Salad – mixed lettuce, seasonal vegetables, cucumber, tomatoes
  • Asian Consommé – chicken, mushrooms, ginger

Day 2 Entrees

  • Roasted Trout – cauliflower, sautéed spinach, toasted pine nuts, caper vinaigrette
  • Mediterranean Seafood Orzo – melange of scallops, shrimp, mussels, roasted eggplant, cherry tomatoes (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Lemon-Pepper Roasted Chicken – rigatoni pasta, olives, capers, spinach, Parmesan cheese, tomato sauce, oregano
  • Roasted Milk-Fed Veal Loin – cream Parmesan polenta, green asparagus, roasted peppers, veal jus (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Pancetta Crusted Pork Loin – gorgonzola farro risotta, grilled marzino tomatoes, broccolini (on Edge/Apex)
  • Roasted Beef Flank Steak – lyonnaise potatoes, grilled zucchini, yellow squash, salsa verde (on Edge/Apex)
  • Pan Seared Aged Sirloin Steak – roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables, herb compound butter (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Fried Masala Potatoes – spices, yogurt, cilantro, chili pepper, served with raita

Note that Day 3 is Chic Night (aka Formal night) where people may dress up more for dinner.

Day 3 Appetizers

  • Tomato Watermelon Salad – basil, feta, sourdough croutons, sherry vinaigrette
  • Baby Spinach & Treviso Salad – crumbled blue cheese, smoked bacon, cranberries, raspberry vinaigrette
  • Yellow Corn Soup – chopped chives
  • Chilled Pear & Honey Soup – mascarpone cheese (Not on Edge/Apex)
  • Chicken Liver Parfait – crusted in toasted pistachios, herb salad, ruby port reduction (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Salmon Tartare – celery root puree, trout roe caviar, dill, apple, pumpernickel
  • Celebrity Signature Crab Cake – chipotle aioli, yellow corn succotash (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Crispy frog legs – green pea puree and garlic-parsley sauce (on Edge/Apex)

Day 3 Entrees

  • Shrimp Scampi – whole wine-garlic sauce, cheery tomatoes, parsley, served over linguini (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Grilled Cobia – BBQ glazed, yellow corn mashed potatoes, haricots verts. Cobi is a fish similar to Mahi-Mahi or Tuna.
  • Seared Duck – “Fried” wild rice, Swiss chard, parsnip, orange duck jus
  • Roasted Colorado Rack of Lamb – mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli florets, glazed baby carrots, rosemary lamb jus
  • Steak Dianne – sirloin cut, creamy cognac mushroom sauce, haricot vert, Hasselbeck potatoes (not on Edge/Apex)
  • “Celebrity’s Signature” Beef Tournedos – ragout of morel mushrooms & pearl onions, roasted potatoes, haricots verts and black truffle sauce (only on Edge/Apex)
  • Stuffed Portobello Mushroom – spinach-goat cheese, roasted red pepper coulis, basil pesto, and fried onion

Day 4 Main Dining Room Menu

Day 4 Appetizers

  • Caprese – vine ripe tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, basil, arugula, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinaigrette
  • Grilled Asparagus Salad – toasted almonds, pistachios, goat cheese, lemon basil emulsion (not on Edge/Apex)
  • The Wedge Salad – iceberg lettuce, blue cheese dressing, tomatoes, eggs, bacon, chives
  • Creamy Butternut Squash Soup – carmelized apple, walnuts
  • Pasta Fagioli Soup – pancetta, thyme, cannellini beans
  • Duck Terrine – pistachio, picked vegetables, apricot chutney, toasted sourdough

Day 4 Entrees

  • Seared Branzino – parsnip puree, lentils, spinach, pomegranate
  • Turkey Parmesan – spaghetti with marinara sauce
  • Rigatoni Boscaiola – prosciutto, button mushrooms, peas, arugula, Pinot Grigio cream sauce, pecorina cheese
  • Slow-Braised Lamb Wrapped in Phyllo – Potato puree, roasted root vegetables (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Steak and Chips – béarnaise, watercress
  • Toasted Israeli Couscous Cake – asparagus spears, cherry tomatoes, zucchini ribbons, balsamic vinaigrette

  • Beef Carpaccio – Dijon aioli, arugula salad, shaved Parmesan
  • Chicory Apple Pear Salad – toasted walnuts, blue cheese, cider vinaigrette
  • Boston Lettuce & Gorgonzola Salad – gorgonzola cheese, red grapes, toasted herb croutons, walnut dressing
  • Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli – homemade Italian-style Pomodoro sauce (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Tomato Watermelon Gazpacho – bell pepper, cucumber, basil, crouton, extra virgin olive oil (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Cream of Broccoli – cheddar cheese croutons
  • Spiced Duck Rillettes Quenelle – raspberry emulsion, petite salad (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Celebrity Signature Crab Cake – chipotle aioli, yellow corn succotash (on Edge/Apex)

Day 5 Entrees

  • Cajun Spiced Drum Fish – black bean rice, okra, yellow corn, smoked tomato-olive oil emulsion
  • Oven Roasted Chicken Saltimbocca – prosciutto, sage, fontina cheese, Mediterranean vegetables, lemon-caper sauce
  • Penne Primavera – seasonal vegetables, basil pesto, olive oil, roasted garlic, Parmesan cheese (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Roasted Pork Loin – smoked red cabbage, butternut squash, cranberry jus
  • Barola Braised Beef Short Ribs – cream truffle polenta, peas, carrots, shitake mushrooms, red onion marmalade
  • Vegetable Korma – spiced seasonal vegetables, ground almonds, coconut mile, roti

Note that Day 6 is Chic Night (aka Formal night) where people may dress up more for dinner and lobster and fancier dinners are served.

Day 6 Appetizers

  • Kale Salad – roasted squash, dried cheeries, carmelized pecans, lemon vinaigrette
  • Shaved Prosciutto & Arugula Salad – tomato, balsamic vinaigrette
  • Chilled Pea Soup – crab, yogurt, lemon, mint (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Creamy Smoked Tomato Bisque – Basil pesto, herbed croutons
  • Double Baked Blue Cheese Soufflé – Parmesan coulis, red onion marmalade
  • Creamy Salmon Rillette – cucumber-caper salad, avruga caviar

Day 6 Entrees

  • Herb Crusted Haddock Fillet – roasted potatoes, red peppers, green olives, tomato olive-oil sauce

  • Beef Wellington – puff pastry wrapped beef tenderloin, mushroom duxelles, veal black truffle reduction, petit sautéed vegetables, Duchess potatoes
  • Cream Wild Mushroom Risotto – black truffle, vegetarian Parmesan

  • Green Leaf & Radicchio Lettuces – radish, smoked bacon, toasted croutons
  • Chop Chop Composed Salad – celery, carrots, romaine lettuce, Dijon mustard vinaigrette
  • Spinach Turnover – ricotta and spinach stuffed puffed pastry, creamy Emmental cheese sauce, black olives, Italian parsley
  • Spiced Louisiana Gumbo – andouille sausage, rice, okra
  • Tuscan Vegetable Minestrone – fresh basil chiffonade (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Prosciutto di Parma – melon, arugula, shaved Parmesan

Day 7 Entrees

  • Sautéed Tilapia Filet – Puttanesca-style sauce, olives, capers, garlic, tomato, cavatelli-kale pasta
  • Oven-Roasted Turkey – sage stuffing, string bean gratin, candied sweet potatoes, giblet gravy cranberry relish
  • Butternut Farrotto – caramelized apple, duck prosciutto, sage (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Pork Scaloppini Marsala – wild mushrooms, polenta fries (not on Edge/Apex)
  • Veal Cordon Bleu – ham, melted Provolone cheese, baby vegetables, mushroom ragout, marsala sauce (on Edge/Apex)
  • Steak Dianne – sirloin cut, creamy cognac mushroom sauce, haricot vert, hasselback potatoes (on Edge/Apex)
  • Homemade Gnocchi ai Quattro Formaggi – creamy four cheese sauce, Italian parsley

What Times are the Main Dining Room, Buffet Times, and Specialty Restaurants Open?

The main dining room opens at 5:45 pm for the Early seating. Luminae for the Retreat suite guests and Blu for Aquaclass guests also open at 5:45 pm.

The main dining room is open 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm for the Celebrity Select Dine Anytime dining meaning if you have indicated on your cruise reservation dining seating time as “Anytime,” you can show up any time in when the restaurant is open to dine. Luminae and Blu also close at 9:00 pm. We try to avoid arriving at 8:55 pm, since the wait staff have been up since breakfast and would likely like to go to bed or to a great party at some point.

For other complimentary dining options, Oceanview Cafe, the buffet, is open 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm. Pizza and a limited selection of food is available until 1:00 am. The Mast Grill closes at 5:30 pm. Cafe al Bacio has desserts until 12:00 am (midnight).

Restaurant

The specialty restaurant (additional charge) restaurants are open until 9:30 pm. Reservations are strongly recommended since they may not have availability if you just walk up. Examples include Murano, Tuscan Grill, Lawn Club Grill, and Sushi on Five. Le Petit Chef has certain showing of the animation timed with presentation of the dinner courses, so reservations are needed for that restaurant.

Tips on Getting a Discount at Specialty Restaurants

Celebrity normally offers 30% off at specialty restaurants for Day 1 or the evening you embark that you can book ahead of time using your cruise planner or when you get on-board, if there are any openings. A second way to get discounted specialty dining is to buy a package of dinners, then book your reservation onboard. A third way to get a discount is to talk to your main dining room waiter to see if their are any openings for the following night at a specific restaurant. If there are a lot of openings, you may be able to get 20 – 50% off for the next night.
